Tim Wynn, Film, TV, and Video Game Composer

Timothy Michael Wynn is an award-winning film, television and video game composer from southern California. After graduating the University of Southern California’s School of Music, he went to work at Concord/New Horizons Pictures, where he met aspiring music supervisor Alex Patsavas. Together, the pair would go on to work on the feature films “The Prophet” and “Recoil”.

In 2000, Tim worked on a project led by Steven Spielberg for the opening of the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, which led to work scoring the documentaries including “D-Day”, “Moments of Truth”, and “Filmscapes”. Soon after, Tim landed a job scoring the ABC-TV series “The Chair,” and composed music for the network’s series “Thieves”, as well as Joel Silver’s TV show “The Strip.”

In 2003, Tim was tapped to score several feature films including “Descendant”, starring Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up, Grey’s Anatomy”) and the comedy “Partners” starring Julie Bowen (Boston Legal, Weeds). Tim's music was soon utilized in commercial projects and he began working on the acclaimed Warner Brothers documentary “James Dean Forever Young,” narrated by Martin Sheen and world-premiered at the Cannes Film festival.

Starting in 2005, Tim began an award-winning foray into composing for video games, his initial effort being “The Punisher” for Marvel Comics/THQ. He followed this success with tracks for “Gun” (Activision). In 2007, Tim teamed up with long-time partner Christopher Lennertz to score “Warhawk” (Sony), which was nominated for best score of the year by the International Film Music Critics and chosen as “Best Score” of 2007 at IGN. Tim followed this by scoring EA’s “The Simpson’s Game,” which received a G.A.N.G. award for Best Arrangement of a Non-Original Score. The next year Tim recorded the scores for the award-winning game series “Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3” (Electronic Arts) and “Red Faction Guerilla” (THQ) at the legendary Skywalker Ranch.

Today, Tim continues to work on game titles, most notably “Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight” (EA). He also continues his work on feature film soundtracks, such as “Dr. Dolittle 3” (Fox) and “To Save A Life” (Samuel Goldwyn), as well as television, including the hit CW-TV series “Supernatural” and the ABC-TV series “The Deep End”.
