Computer Recording Made Easy

Every day from February 16th through February 23rd, Roland is running free sessions called ‘Computer recording made easy’, held at local Roland UK Planet stores. Each session is tailored to your personal circumstances and set-up, so you get the exact info you need to achieve your musical goals. You don’t need any experience and you’ll be making your music in no time, armed with lots of new knowledge and practical tips.
Each session lasts 30 minutes and you could learn how to:

Set-up your computer

Install software
-
Use audio and software to create new sounds

Plug in guitars, microphones and other ‘real’ instruments ready to record

Create a number of tracks

Mix everything together

Produce a CD or publish online

Jimmy & Mathias werden in diesem Workshop die Neuerungen von SONAR X2 an Hand praktischer Beispiele erläutern. Dazu gehören der verbesserte Workflow durch das überarbeitete SmartTool und SmartGrid, BREVERB Sonar, R-Mix Sonar, ProChannel FX-Chains und die neue Consolen Emulation. Neben den Neuerungen wird auch noch einmal auf bekanntere Eigenschaften wie der Drag-n-Drop Funktionalität des Browsers, der Skylight Oberfläche und FX-Chains eingegangen.
Dieser Workshop ist für alle Versionen von Sonar X2 geeignet, egal ob Essential, Studio oder Producer.

Roland Synth Story UK
Roland has come a long way since its inception in 1972. Its synths, drum machines and effects have been used on some of the most famous records ever and have helped artists push sonic boundaries, creating new sounds and even radical new musical genres.
Taking part over three dates in November, the Roland Synth Story tour will explore this rich history through a roster of artists and experts. It’s an exciting opportunity for visitors to learn more about Roland synths, speak to three musical icons and even get their hands on some classic Roland vintage gear.

Cakewalk’s Brandon Ryan and Seth Perlstein will be on hand to answer questions and show tips, tricks and production techniques using the award winning SONAR X1. In addition to latest news, we’ll delve deep into SONAR X1 using a live musical production demonstration as the centerpiece. Brandon will take the driver-seat on this one showing the capabilities and production techniques involved in creating a short, instrumental, musical cue.
Topics will include virtual instrument recording (featuring Z3TA+ 2, Dimension Pro, SD3 and more), creative editing as a production technique, Step Sequencer View, Matrix View, Loop Construction View techniques and more. In addition we’ll cover mixing topics like busing, EQ, and using the ProChannel and its various available modules to get a great mix, fast. And throughout the event, we’ll discuss tips related to best practices, organization, and general SONAR configuration and use.
CakeTV Live is, in fact, completely live – and not a live presentation of a pre-recorded demo with Q&A like you might often see. It’s broadcast in high quality with hundreds of viewers taking part in the lively chat which is monitored and addressed, on the spot, by Brandon and Seth.
