Not only is this system filled to the brim with the latest and greatest hardware it is also super quiet (your motorized faders are probably louder) and opening up the box for the first time you will find super helpful documentation to get you started with the system.
Loaded with Intel's newest i7 CPU, ATI Graphics and a Gigabyte Motherboard solution; reliability is not a concern. The layout inside the case is clean and facilitates great airflow. This is the first Intel Core i7 based machine we have reviewed for DAW Labs and this monster really proves how powerful a well-built Core i7 can be. Under one of our heavy load tests the system ran SONAR with 70+ tracks, numerous convolution reverbs, CPU intensive piano synths and mastering plug-ins for more than 15 hours!
Configuration options are limited to CPU speed, additional hard drives, sound devices, operating system and bundled software. While Stonewave does not allow you to pick and choose from every piece of hardware under the sun they deliver with a rock solid build. The included 'out of box' bonuses also more than make up for the lack of customization options.
