Project Studio
Still a relatively new company, Stonewave Productions sent us their Project Studio to try out. While this is the most mainstream system they offer you mustn't mistake that for mediocrity. It is no slouch in the performance category and has great documentation for the less advanced PC user. Additionally, if you don't happen to be blessed with a machine room for your DAW they offer a handy 'Ultra Silence Kit' for a minimal up-charge. This makes the Project Studio right at home next to your mixing desk, with minimal audible interference.
Loaded with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 at 2.83Ghz, 4GB of Ram, Gigabyte motherboard, and ATI graphics it packs a wallop. The layout inside the case is clean and facilitates great airflow as with StoneWave's flagship i7 solution. StoneWave never ceasing to look forward also adds as many 'green' features to this system. Eco-minded musicians and engineers won't need to worry about leaving the system on. You may even save a little on your electric bill too.
This is the most customizable DAW that StoneWave offers. You can select the case, hard drive capacity, memory, video card, sound card and even the low noise upgrade kit. Aswith the other StoneWave systems the included 'out of box' bonuses area great addition to an already stellar performer. Delivered and out of the box this is a rock solid DAW.
