SONAR has an arsenal of great sounding instruments ready to be used in the studio or unleashed on the stage. From moody and textural to biting and edgy, you're sure to find just the right tone for your needs. Whether you need the classic sounds of vintage gear or cutting-edge new tones, SONAR X1 makes it all available with a simple drag and drop from the neatly organized Browser.

  • SONAR X1 Essential has over 3,000 instrument patches
  • SONAR X1 Studio has over 5,000 instrument patches
  • SONAR X1 Producer has over 11,000 instrument patches

Multiple softsynths can quickly be layered and saved as Track Templates making available monstrous stacks or intricate performance setups. Instantly recall these setups with a simple drag and drop or save them as part of a performance template.

But finding the right sound is just the beginning. You'll surely want to play that sound. Get hands-on, expressive control of all synth parameters like filter cutoff or bit decimation with SONAR X1's Active Controller Technology (ACT). Simply move a control on a synth and then move the physical control to which you want it mapped. SONAR remembers this connection automatically and enables it every time the synth is in front of you. ACT takes care of the mapping so you can get on with the playing.
