All versions of SONAR offer deep, realtime and non-destructive editing features that have been refined over many years of development. Quickly slice and dice recordings and even comp multiple takes into one perfect performance. Studio and Producer versions can fix pitch problems and even quantize your recordings to correct timing or match the groove of other parts.

Essential Effects:
SONAR X1’s Essential Effects are made up of 31 different processors offering a full range of production possibilities.  The Half-Rack effects are versatile and intuitive. From the musical Tempo Delay to the destructive power of the Alias Factor, these effects give character and life to your tracks. The core areas of EQ and Reverb are handled by two selections from the venerable Sonitus:FX suite while IK Multimedia’s X-Gear dishes out the guitar tones. Rounding out the collection are the 18 Cakewalk DSP-FX processors that include everything from dynamics and modulation effects to pitch shifting and spectrum analysis. Final radio-ready loudness is achieved through the easy to use Boost 11 Peak Limiter.

SONAR X1 Studio’s expanded set of effects processors are designed to give your tracks an even more produced and professional sound. The full suite of Sonitus:FX are included providing all the vital processors needed for most productions. Great sounding and easy to use, Dynamics, EQ, Reverb, Modulation, Delay and more are all on offer.. Taking your production possibilities to another level though are the T and S series effects. Made up of the TL-64 Tube Leveler and the TS-64 Transient Shaper, these effects are carefully designed to help you sculpt sounds in very specific ways, giving you the power to make your tracks stand out and have a unique character all their own. Add punch, warmth, or grit to your tracks with the TL-64 Tube Leveler and sculpt just the right amount of sizzle, snap, crack or boom with the TS-64 Transient Shaper.

Complete channel strip effects offer all in one solutions to various production scenarios. The PX-64 Percussion Strip lets you sculpt inspiring drum sounds with punch and character. The VX-64 Vocal Strip lets you craft the perfect vocal sound with ease. And the VC-64 Vintage Channel, while versatile, lets you get a warm, vintage sound on almost any source material. When it comes to guitars SONAR X1 Producer now includes Guitar Rig 4 LE from Native Instruments. This professional effect and amp modeling software provides authentic sound and responsive playability. Finally, SONAR X1 Producer has a full suite of linear phase mastering effects. The LP-64 EQ and LP-64 Multiband Compressor are intended for final balance and polish - without compromising the overall character of your music.
