Here's what's available in each version of SONAR X1:
Essential Instruments:
SONAR X1’s Essential Instruments give you a strong foundation for creating great sounding tracks in a wide variety of styles. The collection includes 10 distinct instruments designed to offer a wide range of sounds and textures to get you started. The SI Drums, Bass, Keys and Strings, with their easy to use and inspiring interfaces are an excellent starting point for most styles of music. Square 1 delivers the bleeps, blips and swooshes of vintage electronica while Dimension LE, DropZone and Cakewalk Sound Center offer up a wealth of sounds from traditional to modern. The TTS-1 serves up a full palette of general MIDI tones and the included Roland Groove Synth is packed with authentic sounds from the legendary synth-maker.
Instruments in Studio:
Focused more on electronic sounds and textures, SONAR X1 Studio’s additional instruments provide a modern and unique soundset for cutting-edge music production. The RGC collection is made up of four instruments from legendary synth developer Rene Ceballos. The crown jewel of this suite is Z3TA+. A staple of countless producers around the globe, it is truly awe inspiring and something of a legend in and of itself. Monstrous basses, searing leads, evocative pads and sequences – it’s all there. If you’re looking for blips, bleeps, swoops, and whooshes don’t overlook the sonic deviance of Pentagon 1. PSYN II conjures up more subtle electronic textures and SFZ+ pulls its weight as a versatile Soundfont player complete with filters and effects. For loop mangling, look no further than RXP. With its resonant filters and slice manipulation it can breathe new life into previously stale beats. Last but definitely not least there’s Rapture LE. Packed with all the sonic prowess of the award winning Rapture, but with scaled down controls, Rapture LE will instantly inject its pristine and uniquely animated character into your music.
Instruments in Producer:
SONAR X1 Producer’s exclusive set of instruments gives you an expanded sonic palette suited for professional productions. The centerpiece of this collection is the highly acclaimed Dimension Pro. Brimming with over 1500 production-ready presets, Dimension Pro combines real instruments with advanced synthesis, giving you endless sound possibilities. From synths to sitars, Rhodes to rainsticks, Dimension Pro has sounds to fit any style. Your very own virtual drummer is always ready and available in the easy to use and inspiring Session Drummer 3. Packed with professionally crafted kits and patterns, Session Drummer 3 is fully capable of taking your song from demo to radio-ready track in less time than you might imagine. From big acoustic rock kits to vintage drum machines, Session Drummer 3 is ready when you are. A great sounding, expressive piano is a must-have for any well-equipped studio. The included TruePianos uses physical modeling to create a piano that is light on resources and heavy on expression, playability and believable sound. SONAR X1 Producer also includes the realtime looping/performing instrument Beatscape with its 4 GB of custom crafted loops and Rapture LE with its pristine and uniquely animated sonic characteristics particularly well suited to modern, electronically tinged music productions.
