SONAR 2 contains new drum features:

These features allow you to map notes from the same track to different outputs and edit drum tracks in the Drum Grid pane

Improved File Management

SONAR 2 now has more powerful file management capabilities. You can choose to save all audio for each project in its own audio data directory, use a "library" of external audio files with multiple projects simultaneously, and easily find and restore missing audio files

Export to ACIDized Wave Files

SONAR now allows you to save Groove clips as Riff Wave Files which are compatible with ACIDized Wave files.

Cyclone DXi

A new DXi from Cakewalk that allows you to "play" your ACIDized files and Wave files; substitute beats; trigger loops from a MIDI keyboard and much more.

Support for OP Panels

OP stands for Open Plug-in format, and SONAR allows you to open OP panels directly from SONAR.
