• Cakewalk Pro Audio and the Audiomedia III

Cakewalk Pro Audio 6.0x, 7.0x, and 8.0x offer the following features for Digidesign Audiomedia III users:

    • You can now play back audio while recording MIDI.
    • You can now record at 22kHz.
    • Sending controller messages to the Audiomedia III will no longer stop audio output.
    • You can now save Cakewalk .BUN files containing audio recorded with the Audiomedia III.
    • The Audiomedia III real-time EQ's have been moved into the Cakewalk Pro Audio 6 Effects view.

Note: To chase-lock audio to SMPTE with the Audiomedia III, you must use the AM3 wave driver. Using this wave driver is also the only way that you can use DirectX plug-ins (CFX, Waves NPP, QTools/AX, etc.) with the Audiomedia III. Keep in mind that the AM3 wave driver does not support full-duplex.

Also note, unless you use the AM3 wave driver, you are limited to 128 individual audio events per track. If your song exceeds 128 audio events per track, you can combine some of the audio events in the Audio view.
