For users of Windows XP SP2 - we have a Windows update you should install.
The update applies to Windows XP SP2, fixing a problem that could cause your PC to run out of resources after extended use. This type of problem is commonly referred to as a "resource leak" and occurs while opening and closing child windows in most Windows applications. Microsoft recommends you create a restore point before you install the hotfix. This will ensure you can restore the system to the current state if anything unexpected happens. To create a restore point, please see below:
Create a restore point
1. Click "Start" and click "All Program".
2. Click "Accessories" and click "System Tools".
3. Click "System Restore".
4. Choose "Create a restore point".
5. Input the Restore Point description.
6. Click "Create" and click "Close".
How to restore the system using the System Restore function
1. From Start, click Programs, click Accessories, and under System Tools open the System Restore.
2. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time and click the Next button.
3. Select a restore point before the problem happened and click the Next button to execute the System Restore.
