The ACCESS PANEL section in the VS-700 CSP does not correctly display some corresponding controlsThe information in this article applies to:
- V-Studio 700
- SONAR X1 Producer
The reasons for this is because the SYNTH RACK and FADE buttons in the ACCESS PANEL section of the VS-700C no longer have corresponding controls due to changes in SONAR X1. The original, default controls for these buttons have been depreciated from the menus in SONAR X1 and we subsequently modified their default behavior in order to provide VS-700 customers using SONAR X1 with suitable replacements.
The SYNTH RACK default function is to open the Browser and show the Synth Rack tab. There is no menu item for this gesture in SONAR X1, therefore the default function shown in the Control Surface Plug-in is “Track View”.
The FADE button default control is the same (apply Fade Clips command) however this command was removed from a menu and therefore no longer is displayed in the corresponding drop down list. The option shown for FADE is “Control Bar”.
It is important to note when looking at the assigned commands in the VS-700 Control Surface Plug-in that neither of these commands correspond to the command shown in the control surface plug-in. Both SYNTH RACK and FADE will continue to function with their default commands until the command is changed by the user in the VS-700 Control Surface Plug-in.
If you have changed the default command for SYNTH RACK and/or FADE and want to revert to the default command for those buttons, you must remove the Control Surface Plug-in from Preferences > MIDI > Control Surfaces and reinsert it. This will clear all changes and revert all controls to their default commands.
