• Project5 Makes Guest Appearance on South Park

Longtime SONAR user and recent Project5 enthusiast D.A. Young used Project5 to create the music for a club scene in a recent episode of South Park, the popular Comedy Central series.

“I just wanted to let you know that I used Project5 quite a bit in my score for the last episode of South Park, #708 "Southpark Is Gay." You’ll hear Project5 most in the scene when the characters are in the techno disco.

"Here’s how I used Project5. I started with one the Nighty Nine demo file that ships with the program as a template for the track. I redid the bass line, drums and melody parts using the sounds from PSYN, and nPulse. I then added more drums with Velocity, tweaked some tracks with Project5’s Tempo Delay, and created other synth part patterns using Synchron32 and the original drum patterns which I pulled back into the project from the Pattern Bin.

"Project5 was a joy to work with. We’re always on deadline with this show and my experience with Project5 was fun, fast and friendly. I especially like PSYN and DS864, and being able to use ACID loops within the program is a big plus.

"The best part is I can now take my synth studio with me because I am using Project5 on my laptop with an Edirol PCR-50 controller. You guys have a winner here."
