Cakewalk lets you select, copy, move, and delete portions of a project even if they do not match clip boundaries. There are two ways to do this:Select the Smart tool or Select tool in the Control Bar and drag across the bottom half of a clip.Cakewalk highlights the selected portion of the clip. You can edit this portion of the clip using all the normal editing commands.Select the Smart tool or Select tool in the Control Bar, then click in the bottom half of a clip and drag across several clips in adjacent tracks.Cakewalk highlights the selected portions of all the clips. You can edit these portions of clips using all the normal editing commands.
Choose Edit > Select > By Time, enter the start and end time, and click OK.
3. The relevant portions of clips in the selected tracks are highlighted. You can edit these portions of clips using all the normal editing commands.
Choose Edit > Select > None or press CTRL+SHIFT+A to completely clear the selection.

Note - Using Offline Help
Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
