Note: You can specify the width of velocity lines in the Piano Roll view. To do so, go to Edit > Preferences > Customization - Editing and adjust the Velocity Solid Width setting. For details, see Customization - Editing (Advanced).
Tip: If you want to audition a MIDI note’s velocity while adjusting the velocity, go to Edit > Preferences > Customization - Editing and enable Velocity Audition.

Type regedit and click OK to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Platinum (if you are using SONAR Artist or SONAR Professional, substitute “Platinum” with “Artist” or “Professional”).

Add a new DWORD value called AllowLassoVelInNotesPane (click Edit > New > DWORD Value).
5.
Double-click the new AllowLassoVelInNotesPane DWORD event to open the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, then change the value to 1 (0=OFF; 1=ON).

Click OK to close the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, then restart SONAR.
