Pre-Setup Instructions

We recommend making sure you have the latest drivers installed for your audio device and operating system. This will ensure the best performance for your Cakewalk software.

If you are using an integrated sound card, we recommend running Windows Update or visiting your computer manufacturer's website for the latest drivers. If you are using a dedicated audio device or interface, we recommend getting the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website. Keep in mind that the installation CDs or DVDs included with your hardware may not contain the latest drivers.

Configuration Instructions

Below are instructions for configuring Music Creator 6 for use with your Roland Tri-Capture.

To configure your Cakewalk software, please do the following:

• Click Edit > Preferences
• Under the Audio section on the left, click on Devices
• From the 'Driver Mode' dropdown select ASIO and then click Apply
• Make sure one of your Roland Tri-Capture drivers is selected as 'Playback Device'. It is best to select the output that you have speakers or headphones connected to.
• Make sure one of your Roland Tri-Capture drivers is selected as 'Recording Device'. It is best to select the input that you have your microphone connected to.
• Click Apply and then OK
• Finally, all audio playback will occur from the Roland Tri-Capture device. Make sure you have your speakers or headphones connected to its outputs
